A much improved, widescreen copy of Antonio Margheriti's first Italian space opera, "Assignment Outer Space," also known as "Spacemen." The claim made in the Wikipedia article below that this film was released on a triple bill with "First Spaceship on Venus" and "The Mysterians" is a fantasy. It was originally released with "Phantom Planet," and was (arguably) the better film on that double bill. This film is interesting for having a black... This is a surreal little movie by Billy Wilder's much-less talented older brother, W. Lee Wilder. It was originally released in a 1:85 aspect ratio. This is an attempt to recreate the original aspect ratio using the best public domain print I could find. The 16mm print seemed to be already slightly cropped and a true 1:85 ratio looked too cramped. This version has been blown-up and cropped at about 1:75, not the correct ratio, but much closer to the intended composition.Killers from... Topics: Killers from Space, 1950s Sci-Fi, W. Classic sci-fi from 1961. A rocket crashes on an invisible planet during an investigation. The surviving astronaut encounters a race of miniature people: the women are VERY interested! The low budget belies the fact films like this were thematically the precursor to modern sci-fi.
